Software Freedom Day 2007 - Davao City

The Insitute of Computing of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP), DabaweGNU, Inc., USEP FOSS Club, and Davao Union Drug is joining the world in celebrating Software Freedom Day (SFD) on Saturday, September 15, 2007. The event will be held at the Social Hall of USEP in Obrero, Davao City from 10AM - 5PM. Admission is free.



The Insitute of Computing of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP), DabaweGNU, Inc., USEP FOSS Club, and Davao Union Drug is joining the world in celebrating Software Freedom Day (SFD) on Saturday, September 15, 2007.  The event will be held at the Social Hall of USEP in Obrero, Davao City from 10AM - 5PM.  Admission is free.

This is the first time that SFD will be celebrated in Davao City and the partners have prepared a program that will surely pique the interests of students, teachers, NGO workers, business executives, and IT professionals.  Among the activities lined up are technical talks on FOSS solutions and advocacy and demos/ exhibits that will surely "WOW" participants.  FOSS-based solutions on VOIP, thin client computing, virtualization, multi-media and applications development will be highlighted in the event.
