Linux Distribution
CentOS: a distribution derived from source files published for Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). This will be the primary distribution that will be used in the training.

Debian: a reliable Linux distribution developed by a community of volunteers. It is used as the base for popular Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Xandros, Mepis, and others. Debian will be the secondary distribution that will be referenced in the training.

Learning/ Teaching Strategy
Experiential and problem based methodologies will be used to enhance the teaching and learning of the course. Lectures will be related to real life scenarios and participants will be given problem sets to work on during laboratory time. Each participant will be provided their own computer to use during the training.Instructor
Holden Hao is a Linux Professional Institute (LPIC-1)-certified administrator. He completed his post graduate diploma in ICT in Education from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He is the founding president of DabaweGNU, Inc. and President of Afterfive Technologies.
Course Fee
P9,000 per participant inclusive of course materials, lunch and snacks. A P2,000 deposit is required. Cash or check payments can be made at the DabaweGNU office (see below).
